This sleepy village surrounded by rivers has been ranked in previous years by New Jersey Monthly Magazine in the top five best places to live in New Jersey. A boaters haven it is situated conveniently to Eatontown for shopping at Monmouth Mall and Little Silver train station for commuters.
Once a part of Eatontown it became a town in 1920.
