The Carolynn Ozar Diakon Foundation and Life Skills by Lunch Break Award Nomination

We remember our founder and friend, Carolynn Ozar Diakon, often and in many ways, most notably through the foundation which was created to honor her legacy with a goal of assisting local women facing life challenges. Resources Real Estate recently donated $10,000 in seed money to launch a scholarship program with the Life Skills Center at Lunch Break.  Life Skills Center participants are eligible to apply for support for needs ranging from transportation issues to skills training, childcare and more, and work with program mentors to increase opportunities and achieve both short and long-term goals.

“We anticipate this scholarship will be life changing for many of our participants and we are so excited about this new relationship with Resources Real Estate,” said Mary Ann Lasardo, Life Skills Operations Manager at Lunch Break.

Resources Real Estate is pleased to have been invited to nominate the scholarship program for a “Good Things Award” presented by Leading Real Estate Companies of the World. Here is our video award nomination.

“The foundation’s mission of aiding women facing life challenges is one that was important to Carolynn and continues to be important to all of us at Resources Real Estate,” said Thomas McCormack, Broker and Senior Partner of Resources Real Estate.

Carolynn passed away two years ago today and we are ever-eager to promote the values she espoused and the spirit with which she lived her life.  For more information about the Carolynn Ozar Diakon Foundation, please visit The Carolynn Ozar Diakon Foundation page  For more information about Lunch Break and the Life Skills Center, please visit https://lunchbreak.org/.
