Originally known as the village of Nauvoo it was a seaside and fishing community nestled amongst the dunes. At the turn of the last century it was a beach retreat for wealthy New Yorkers who came by train and steam boat. Lager old hotels graced the shore front. Home today to restaurants and bars all with a great coastal vibe.
Wide beaches and lots of parking make this a popular Summer destination. Colder months are quieter, but some would say better with empty beaches to enjoy. North Moor or North End of Sea Bright is more residential with only a couple of restaurants and a marina.
